About The Position

Allied Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Alarm Construction Technician to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in fire alarm systems who takes pride in quality work, safety, and leadership in the field.

Requirements

Fire Alarm License (FAL) required
2–4+ years of experience in fire alarm installation
Experience working in construction environments (schools, hospitals, high-rise buildings, data centers)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, blueprints, and manuals
Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and applicable local codes
Ability to lead teams and manage project timelines

Nice To Haves

Forklift and scissor lift certification
Experience with testing equipment, multi-meters, and commissioning devices

Responsibilities

Install fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems and related equipment
Lead projects by overseeing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and meeting deadlines
Ensure projects are completed within budget and productivity targets
Conduct and coordinate system testing and ensure all certifications are completed
Train and mentor helpers, apprentices, and team members
Manage daily schedules and productivity of assigned team members
Maintain inventory on company vehicle
Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams
