About The Position

HPM Building Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Alarm and Security Technical Associate to support the sales team with processing sales orders, answering customer inquiries, updating and maintaining customer databases, ensuring order and invoice accuracy. Additionally, provide technical support during installation and servicing of various security system technologies, including video surveillance, alarms, sensors and access control systems, which includes supporting internal operational processes in this business line. The Alarm and Security Technical Associate is not a remote position and will be based in Hawaii. The successful candidate must reside on the island of Maui, Oahu or Hawaii (Big Island). This position can be based in Honolulu, Puunene (Central Maui) or Keaau.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proven experience installing and maintaining security systems, including video surveillance, alarm systems, alarm panels, access control systems, sensors, and related security technologies, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience in basic networking, which may include Ethernet cable installation, management of Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3 networking, installation and repair of switches, Power over Ethernet devices, DHCP, IP, and security fundamentals including firewalls, VLANs, ACLs, etc.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background screening and drug test, in accordance with applicable law.
