Supports projects, installs and maintains facility instrumentation, to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment. Essential Job Responsibilities: With supervision: supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers. Supports and maintains Facility Automation and SCADA Equipment. Ensures production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment. Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications, coordinating activities with other facility crafts. Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation. Supports company vision and mission. Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings. Ability to be available 24 hours per day while on shift (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.). Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: one (1) year minimum technical course work Previous technical or oilfield experience preferred but not required. Ability to work established flexible work schedule (Ex. 12 hr/day, 14 days on/14 days off). Applicant must have full summer availability. Intern should be a full-time student, graduating 2025 or 2026, or recently graduated (within last 12 months). Students or graduates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Student must be an AK resident or enrolled with an accredited school in Alaska. Demonstrates increasing degrees of understanding how the various parts of the oil/gas facility/plant work together (from the wells through the production facilities to the oil and gas sales lines). Demonstrates an ability to quickly learn new mechanical concepts and tasks. Demonstrates the ability to maintain the facility or work area in a safe, environmentally sound condition and maintain neat and accurate records of the operations. Demonstrates the ability and willingness to remain aware of the whole scope of simultaneous activities at the job site on a routine basis. Demonstrates the ability to recognize when non-standard or non-routine conditions exist at the facility, notify supervisory staff, and offer recommendations for solutions to the problem. Basic mathematic and mechanical skills. Basic computer skills. Basic instrumentation skills Basic programming skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. Ability to consider safety in all decisions. Education Requirements: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of technical course work beyond high school or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
