About The Position

The Aisles Online Pickup Clerk at Hy-Vee is responsible for efficiently and accurately transporting and loading online orders for customers. This role emphasizes customer service, ensuring that online shoppers receive their orders in a timely and organized manner while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to the products they're looking for, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, and making note of customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone and emails promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Upon gathering orders, places them in storage at proper temperature and promptly retrieves them prior to the customer's arrival.
• Ensures products maintain proper temperature through the entire process and carts them to the holding area for pick-up.
• Lifts, carries, and loads groceries into customer vehicles.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Selects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zones.
• Tenders customer orders through POS and charges the customer's credit card.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
