About The Position

The Manager of AIS Configuration Control is responsible for leading the Configuration team to establish and maintain a configuration management system capable of meeting regulatory, quality, and company requirements for documentation. This position manages the team and creates policies and procedures and provides training for all Team Members.

Requirements

  • Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering desired, or equivalent experience established through licensure and/or work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years in a technical maintenance supervisory role at a 14 CFR part 121 or 135 carrier.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of certificated type design configuration control and airworthiness certifications as they relate to 14 CFR Part 121.
  • Thorough understanding of large transport aircraft maintenance systems and associated Illustrated Parts Catalog.
  • Knowledge of electronic records and its associated requirements.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to review and validate/revise processes and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills of computer applications such as Microsoft 365 Teams.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification or former military personnel with equivalent maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of A319/A320 and/or 737 Max aircraft systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to understand OEM, Wiring Diagram Manuals (WDM), and schematics.
  • Knowledge of an ability to research ADs and other FARs.
  • Knowledge of aircraft alteration/repair approvals.
  • TRAX EMRO and suite of other applications.
  • Jira experience.
  • Experience developing Objectives and Key Results (OKR) and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the AIS configuration control system to ensure compliance with aircraft type design and regulatory, quality, and company requirements.
  • Responsible to communicate configuration change control. Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into the document repository.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely implementation of change requests and change orders.
  • Approve the use of alternate parts and materials in accordance with the applicable specifications and regulations.
  • Support audits (internal/external/3rd party) in order to verify that regulatory and quality requirements have been met.
  • Provide work direction and guidance to Team members ensuring completion of assigned tasks and other duties.
  • Responsible for procedure reviews and assisting process owners with procedure updates.
  • Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
