About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the public and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment and weather conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management and coordinating notifications to appropriate airport and/or government contacts.
• Document patrols, observations, and incident details in required reports and logs, and communicate timely information to Allied Universal supervision and/or onsite stakeholders.
