Job Description As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI , you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, monitoring entry points, and directing individuals to proper screening and/or check-in locations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site authorities and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs, documenting incidents, patrol activities, and observations, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
