As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you'll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You'll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they're needed most.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activities, helping to deter unauthorized behavior.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned location.
  • Report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or local authorities as required.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information or directions as needed while upholding the policies of the location.
  • Complete required documentation and reports according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
