About The Position

As an Airport Security and Operations Agent with ClearedDirect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and operational efficiency of the terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. This position involves monitoring both airside and landside operations, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to TSA regulations to maintain a secure environment for passengers and staff. You will be required to obtain a Level Two Security License within the first 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (Texas Driver's License within 90 days of employment).
• Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment and a Criminal History Records check upon employment.
• Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times.
• Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work in tough conditions, such as hot and cold weather, and meet time-sensitive goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of terminal, airside, and landside areas to ensure safety and security standards are met.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers regarding flight inquiries, guidelines, and directions.
• Screen goods and equipment entering the sterile environment according to TSA rules and regulations.
• Use multi-channel radio to communicate operational status clearly and effectively.
• Maintain vigilance for fire, sanitary, slip, or trip hazards and respond appropriately.
• Respond to and investigate security door alarms, escalating issues to appropriate representatives as necessary.
• Compose incident reports for emergencies and other relevant activities when needed.
• Perform routine daily inspections of leasehold perimeter fencing, parking lots, roadways, and ramp areas.
• Conduct continuous security sweeps of terminal facilities to identify prohibited items or suspicious devices.
• Monitor vehicle traffic on terminal frontage, preventing unattended vehicles from standing for extended periods.
• Maintain passenger control when portals to the sterile area are open to prevent breaches.
• Continuously monitor ramp activities to ensure compliance with airport safety and security regulations.
• Inspect parking lots to ensure vehicle security, terminal infrastructure integrity, and cleanliness.
• Assist passengers in the short-term parking lot.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
