About The Position
As an Airport Ramp Agent for Delta at Unifi Aviation LLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft and passenger baggage. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential to the operations of the airport ramp. You will be responsible for loading and unloading aircraft, safeguarding customer baggage and air cargo from potential damage or loss, and ensuring that all items are handled with care. Your role will also require you to operate various types of motorized equipment, such as belt loaders and pushback tugs, while maintaining visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety during pushback operations. In addition to the physical demands of the job, you will be required to complete necessary paperwork and forms related to your work assignments. This includes recording customer baggage, airfreight, and mail, as well as preparing records for transportation of cargo and baggage to and from aircraft. You will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned, which may vary based on the needs of the operation. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you must be able to lift and carry heavy items, work in cramped or high places, and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and crawling. This position is part-time and requires availability for shifts that may include weekends and holidays. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing excellent service to customers and ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities.
