About The Position
The position involves providing full law enforcement and police services at Aviation facilities. Officers are responsible for enforcing applicable laws, ordinances, administrative orders, and regulations set forth by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This includes performing both foot and vehicle patrols, writing detailed reports concerning FAA and TSA regulation violations, and addressing both criminal and non-criminal activities. Officers will issue traffic citations, make arrests as warranted, and use their judgment to ensure that their actions are appropriate according to the applicable laws. Additionally, officers are required to administer first aid and make notifications or arrange for the removal of individuals to area hospitals for treatment.
