About The Position
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plumber in the Aviation Maintenance Division. This position involves skilled technical work in laying out, installing, repairing, digging, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and systems. The incumbent will also respond to complaints related to water service and plumbing. The Aviation Department operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport, and the Maintenance Division works on a 24/7 schedule with three 8-hour shifts. The shifts rotate annually with shift bidding by seniority. This is a fast-paced work environment with shift work over a 5-day work schedule and two consecutive days off during the week.
