About The Position

The Airport Passenger Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for travelers at Harry Reid International Airport, providing essential information and assistance to the public. This role involves managing crowd control during busy periods, assisting with lost and found services, and ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction. The representative also interacts with airport tenants and vendors, contributing to a smooth operational flow within the airport environment.

Requirements

• Equivalent to graduation from high school.
• Two years of full-time public contact experience.
• Conversational proficiency in at least one non-English language is desirable.

• Professional level experience in customer service or public relations.

Responsibilities

• Staff an information booth at the airport and provide information to the public regarding flight schedules, gate locations, and baggage handling procedures.
• Assist passengers with inquiries about public and private transportation options and basic tourism information.
• Provide information on international travel requirements and customs procedures.
• Maintain passenger line management and assist with the setup and breakdown of stanchions for queuing.
• Serve as a roving ambassador, assisting passengers throughout the airport.
• Help enforce security policies and procedures in assigned areas of the airport.
• Assist passengers with medical emergencies and contact appropriate emergency staff as needed.
• Direct passengers to proper locations and ensure their safety, providing special assistance to disabled patrons.
• Perform duties related to the Airport Lost and Found unit.
• Maintain records of inquiries and other relevant information related to the work.
