About The Position

Supervise the Control Center and foster collaboration across departments during emergency response efforts, snow removal, and construction activities. Assume the duties of the Assistant Airport Operations Manager during absences. Ensure compliance with FAA FAR Part 139, TSA Part 1542, and airport rules and regulations. Collaborate with staff and management to oversee training.

Requirements

  • Must be a current resident of the United States.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License at time of application with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within six (6) months of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, along with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Airport Operations, plus one (1) additional year of supervisory experience in the same field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Management, or Public Administration, with less than one (1) year of experience in Airport, Airline, or Aviation Operations, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30lbs on a regular basis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer and software applications, such as Microsoft office and Digital NOTAMS.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate activities occurring simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively and determine a proper course of action to be taken in non-emergency and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff, ensure adherence to departmental work rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide leadership during Irregular Operations and Alerts, including the issuance of ENS (Everbridge) messages.
  • Implement activation of the Emergency Operations Center during airport/aircraft emergencies.
  • Ensure FAA and TSA regulations are followed during construction activities.
  • Coordinate and lead snow removal efforts on the airfield - serve as ‘Snow Boss' in the Control Tower.
  • Gain an understanding of the duties of AOC I and AOC II with the expectation of stepping into these roles as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
