About The Position

The Airport Operations Agent position at the Tallahassee International Airport is a full-time role (40 hours/week with full benefits) that offers a great opportunity to be part of a developing airport. The position provides valuable industry knowledge, training, and experience in all areas of airport operations. Responsibilities include performing airfield, perimeter, and terminal inspections, enforcing airport rules and regulations, and providing customer assistance. The agent will also coordinate operations and emergency responses, inspect compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Transportation Security Administration Regulations, and maintain activity logs and records.

Requirements

• Possession of an associate's degree in aviation management, business or public administration, communications, criminal justice, or a related field.
• One year of experience in aviation, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency management, communications, military service, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
• Must successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal history records check and personal background check prior to employment.
• Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform airfield, perimeter, and terminal inspections.
• Enforce airport rules and regulations.
• Provide customer assistance.
• Coordinate operations and emergency responses.
• Inspect compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Transportation Security Administration Regulations.
• Staff the Airport Communications Center as needed.
• Monitor security cameras, access control, and other systems.
• Maintain activity logs and other records.
• Perform related work as required.
