About The Position
This position is a highly-flexible and adaptable position responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of Patrick Leahy Burlington Airport, a commercial-service airport. From a maintenance perspective, this position helps maintain safety standards required in an aviation environment as it pertains to federal, state, and local regulations, and standards. This position generally comprises three distinct areas of the airport: buildings/facilities, airfield, and landside/grounds. This position is expected to help ensure that facilities and the airfield meet the highest standards, physical readiness, and aesthetic excellence. Work is often performed under varying climatic conditions at times, requires lifting and manual labor and exposure to occupational hazards. This position is responsible for performing repair work and basic construction and maintenance of airport buildings, taxiways, runways, roadways, and related facilities.
