What You'll Do: As an Airport Maintenance Technician, you'll tackle a variety of important tasks that keep our airport running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: Grounds Maintenance: Mowing, landscaping, planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, and maintaining fences. Paved Areas: Sweeping, repairing, and ensuring the safety of all paved surfaces, including airport runways Equipment Operation: Operating, fueling, and cleaning trucks, tractors, and other powered tools. Weather Response: Removing snow and ice during winter conditions. This position is primarily on the Airfield Maintenance team, however you will be cross-trained on some facilities maintenance to include: Building Repairs: Plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry, and other facility maintenance tasks. Airfield Systems: Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems, as well as security gates and passenger loading bridges. This job involves working outdoors in all types of weather. This position is a day shift role but does requires one week of evening shifts and one weekend rotation every 7-8 weeks. The rotation is shared among the team, ensuring coverage while keeping the schedule fair and predictable.

Requirements

A High School diploma or equivalent.
Hands-on experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, pavement maintenance or similar.
A team player with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset
A valid Virginia driver's license and a clean driving record.
The ability to pass a TSA security clearance and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Facilities maintenance or trades experience is a plus.
