About The Position

Under general supervision, provides assistance to aircraft personnel in directing aircraft to appropriate spaces, refueling and towing aircraft, and performing maintenance duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma with one year experience in Fixed Base Operations or flight line work required.
• Must have a SC Drivers License, light computer skills, as well as the ability to drive a tug.
• Physical requirements include: Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds and frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment and machinery in the performance of duties; operates tug and towbar in moving aircraft; operates fuel farm ground pump system in loading fuel onto refueling trucks; operates air compressor in order to pump air into tires as needed; moves aircraft to tiedown spaces as directed.
• Makes minor repairs to airport equipment as needed; ensures that equipment and machinery are maintained in proper and safe working condition at all times.
• Directs aircrafts upon arrival; provides assistance to aircraft in departure as appropriate.
• Performs safety checks at airport as required
• Performs other related duties as required.
