About The Position

The Airport Janitorial Agent at LAX is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the airport facilities. This role involves various cleaning tasks, including floor maintenance, restroom sanitation, and inventory management of cleaning supplies. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in different shifts, ensuring a clean and safe environment for travelers and staff.

Requirements

• Must be a local (in-state) resident.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One+ year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, shampooing, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Cleans windows, restrooms, dusts areas, and empties trashcans.
• Prepares requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment needed for cleaning.
• Prepares cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents in a safe manner according to chemical specifications.
• Lifts and carries cleaning equipment, cleaning trays, and cases of supplies to service the area.
• Uses power tools/equipment to clean the facility.
• Loads supplies into the vehicle and returns unused supplies to the designated area.
• Checks inventory to ensure there is an adequate supply of items needed to clean the area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
