About The Position

The Airport Electrician I position at the City of Pensacola involves specialized work in troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining airport instruments, systems, control devices, and electrical equipment. The role is supervised by the Airport Electrician III and/or Maintenance Manager and may require high voltage work under supervision. The position also requires participation in the Airport's recall program and may involve after-hours work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a commercial/industrial electrical field.
• Education from an accredited college, university, or technical school in an electrical field can substitute for experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Possession of an appropriate driver license for equipment operated.
• Must satisfy all requirements to acquire and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair airport instruments and electrical systems.
• Install and maintain control devices and electrical equipment.
• Perform high voltage work under supervision as required.
• Participate in the Airport's recall program and be available for on-call duties.
