About The Position

As a customer service agent at GAT Airline Ground Support, you will be the first impression of a passenger's airport experience. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including checking in and ticketing passengers, escorting them to and from the aircraft, and resolving any customer complaints that may arise. Proficiency in computer use is essential, as well as providing excellent customer assistance to passengers. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment with strict time constraints to meet published departure goals. It is crucial for employees to consistently display a professional and positive image while performing their duties. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, both over the phone and in person. You will need to announce both incoming and outbound flights, handle credit card and personal check transactions accurately, and ensure proper accounting for all collections. Additionally, you will accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs., operate jetways, and manage aircraft doors. Utilizing airline computer systems to provide flight information, ticketing, and baggage documentation is also a key part of the job. You may be required to escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport, and you should be able to work independently without direct supervision.
