About The Position

The Airport Airside Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of airside operations at the airport. This role involves performing inspections, coordinating emergency responses, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and monitoring construction activities to maintain a safe operating environment. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including airport staff, FAA representatives, and contractors, to ensure adherence to federal and local regulations while promoting safety and security at the airport.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airway Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One year of airport operations work experience or equivalent professional experience.
  • Valid Texas Class 'C' Driver License.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain necessary security clearances.

  • Experience working at a Large Hub Part 139 Airport.
  • Experience applying FAA regulations related to construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing Airside Operations during large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders during construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the airport's airside operations under general supervision.
  • Perform inspections of airport operations and tenant areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate responses to aircraft emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and medical emergencies according to the Airport Emergency Plan.
  • Monitor construction personnel activities on and near the Airport Operation Area (AOA) to ensure safety.
  • Enforce airfield safety, operational, and parking regulations, issuing Notices of Violation as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and operations logs using computer and written formats.
  • Coordinate daily work on and near the AOA with other airport sections, FAA, and stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of existing and new legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
