The role requires daily proactive and reactive communication with passengers regarding their baggage status and issues. Responsibilities include clearing expedited and left behind baggage through US Customs and arranging local and FedEx deliveries. Additionally, the position entails maintaining an inventory of OHD baggage and registering lost and found items in W/T, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up with passengers. Daily tasks also include sweeping the bag room and departure pier to manage left behind or late received interline baggage, as well as sending W/T forwarding messages for all bags being expedited from the port. Timely responses to emails, telexes, and phone calls are also essential.
