About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Marietta / Fort Worth. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include: - Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents. - Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs. - Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans. - Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
A US-DoD classified secret clearance

Nice To Haves

More than 5 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
Experience with Fibersim or 3DX composites design workbench
Experience with metallic and composite design
Experience with 3D model based design definition
Experience with determinant structural assembly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
