About The Position

Execute maintenance on various military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician Travel for extended periods working at various locations Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses, basic wire terminations and various other maintenance tasks Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures Maintain tool control and accountability Adhere to company policies and safety programs Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
  • Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements
  • Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems
  • Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
  • Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
