The Airframe and Powerplant Inspector is responsible for performing routine inspections on airframe and powerplant repairs. Mechanical inspection of parts including first article, in-process, and final. Verification of materials and processes and verification of certifications from sub-tier vendors. Performance of various other quality tasks as required to ensure the timely delivery of precision machined parts to the customer. Perform routine inspections on airframes and powerplants Ensure all repairs or modifications meet airworthiness standards as per airframe and powerplant license requirements. Perform inspections on weapons control systems, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers, and related aircraft systems. Completion of all applicable paperwork (working to AS9100 standards). Document all technical aspects of aircraft and engine maintenance as required by company and FAA standards using technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints. Complete and document inspection results in forms, logs, and electronic systems Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials. Comply with safety and quality procedures relevant to the work area, including EHSS, ESD and FOD requirements. Train and mentor other inspectors and perform related duties as necessary to comply with ISO AS9100, military, and customer specifications. Other duties as assigned.
