The Airfoil Cell Operator is responsible for setting up and operating simple machines or equipment to produce parts where methods and processes are well developed. This includes transporting parts, raw materials, and fixtures, and working from operation sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions. The operator will perform bench assembly and finishing operations using various handheld and power tools, as well as perform part preparatory functions such as grit blasting, shot peening, and routine oven operations. The role requires the use of measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results in computer data systems. The operator may assist others with new equipment or process tryouts and may be assigned additional tasks to support department objectives.
