RS&H seeks a rising aviation professional to join our San Antonio team as an Airfield Engineer/Assistant Project Manager. What You'll Do Lead Project Delivery Support project execution from concept through construction—airfield design, pavement, utilities, terminals, and infrastructure Oversee design teams, manage quality assurance, and track financial performance Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across South Texas Prepare project plans, specifications, and technical reports Develop Leadership Skills Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative team culture Apply technical expertise to solve complex design challenges Make independent decisions on aviation design matters Build confidence leading projects of varying scope and complexity Grow the Business Support business development and client relationship management Contribute to proposals and strategic initiatives Strengthen client loyalty across South Texas Represent RS&H at regional industry events What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program 5+ years of civil design experience, with 2+ years in aviation Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals Experience with aviation plans and technical specifications Proven ability to lead small to moderate-sized projects Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Ideal Candidate Track record of successfully leading project teams Comfortable making independent technical decisions Experience with FAA standards and airport design guidelines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Collaborative mindset with passion for innovation Self-motivated and eager to grow into larger leadership roles Why RS&H As an employee-owned firm, your contributions directly impact your future. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program
5+ years of civil design experience, with 2+ years in aviation
Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months
Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals
Experience with aviation plans and technical specifications
Proven ability to lead small to moderate-sized projects
Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
