About The Position

The Aircraft Exterior Detailer position requires the employees to scrub, scrape, detail, wash and wax the outside of an aircraft while working from the ground or an aerial lift.

Requirements

Language skills: Proficient English required.
Able to take direction from supervisory staff.
Able to follow airline-specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the aircraft detailing process.
Safety conscious work approach is required.
Must be physically capable to execute the duties of this labor-intensive position.
Must be comfortable with heights up to 60 ft. to work on an aerial lift for extended periods.
Other constant movements: Climbing, Reaching, Repetitive movement, Squatting/kneeling, Standing, Walking, Overhead pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
Required: Airport security badge - must be able to attain an airport security badge during the hiring process and maintain an active badge for the duration of employment, without lapse at any time.
Attaining an airport security badge is an essential function of this position, you will be required to go through the airport's process to obtain an airport security badge, which allows you access to all areas in which Flightline Support Group LLC operates.
This is an airport requirement for you to access the airfield where all work is completed.

Nice To Haves

A valid driver's license for at least 1 full year, preferably 5 full years, with a clean driving.

Responsibilities

Exterior washing, waxing, and paint revitalization.
Perform pre-check on all equipment/vehicles and load required chemicals to perform aircraft waxes, washes, and inspections.
Attach/remove the pitot tube and static port covers.
Place chemical in mop buckets, and apply to aircraft, starting from the bottom, working upwards with mopheads/pads attached to poles.
Use aerial lifts to clean the aircraft fuselage, wings, and tail.
Use a dry/clean mop head/pad to buff off dried wax.
Complete a FOD (Foreign Object Debris) walk of the aircraft exterior to maintain work areas clean and free of debris.
Maintain chemicals/equipment stocked and organized after every use.
Inspect and evaluate the quality of work completed.
Document services on aircraft wash record form or airline designated form.
Clean up the workspace following each service.
Practice safe work methods and perform other related duties as requested.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Be physically present at work on all scheduled days/times to meet workload productivity standards.
