Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Worker to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. Responsibilities include assisting Mechanics in Full Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) and Subscale Aerial Target (SSAT) depot repairs. The role involves performing Organizational and Intermediate (O&I) type maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, and systems associated with the Aerial Targets contract. Typical work may include launch/recovery, towing, jacking, servicing, weight & balance, aircraft configuration, wash & lube, engine maintenance, flight controls, hydraulic and pneumatics. The work may also include inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, adjusting, rigging, operational checks, overhaul, and modifications. Ground handling of targets, aircraft, AGE, and support equipment is required, along with the installation/removal of munitions, chute/drogue systems, augmentation systems, power plant, and airframe components. The Aircraft Worker may fulfill the role of Cockpit Safety Officer (CSO) and/or Launch Safety Officer (LSO). Maintenance and operational duties must be performed in accordance with operating instructions or Air Force Publications. The worker will read technical orders (TOs), manufacturers’ manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components, including ordering of parts. The position also involves assisting higher technical personnel with the installation of modifications associated with aircraft and targets, maintaining maintenance records, and entering maintenance actions in aircraft forms and/or automated records. The Aircraft Worker will provide technical guidance to equal or lower-level personnel and may be required to perform work of a lower technical level personnel. Other duties include performing aircraft maintenance and related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
