About The Position

The Aircraft Worker position at PKL Services involves performing organizational level maintenance on F-35 aircraft in support of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ. The role requires following maintenance manuals and technical data to repair and replace malfunctioning aircraft components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. The position is full-time and non-exempt, with a focus on both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of USN/USMC/USAF Organizational level aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with F-35.
• Ability to acquire necessary Support Equipment licenses as required.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with airframe work center publications relevant to aircraft maintenance.
• Proficiency with JTD and CMMS maintenance documentation system within 90 days of hiring.
• Working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program and local instructions.
• Experience with power tools and precision measuring devices for aircraft maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with F-35 aircraft is preferred.
• Knowledge of the CNAFINST 4790.2 and NAMSOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems.
• Remove, clean, reinstall, or replace defective parts and accessories.
• Prepare aircraft for paint removal and inspect for damage post-coating.
• Conduct visual inspections for damage and corrosion on aircraft surfaces.
• Refinish and repair damaged finishes on aircraft surfaces.
• Prepare coating materials and ensure proper application techniques.
• Assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in various aircraft systems.
• Supervise jacking and towing of aircraft as needed.
• Perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
