About The Position

The Aircraft Worker (F-35) position at PKL Services, Inc. involves providing contractor Organizational Level (O-Level) maintenance support to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of USN/USMC/USAF Organizational level aircraft airframes/structural and corrosion control experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• F-35 experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Airframes work center 'O' level publications.
• Proficiency with JTD and CMMS maintenance documentation system within 90 days of hiring.
• Experience in the use and care of power tools and precision measuring devices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with aircraft maintenance in a military environment.
• Knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operating Procedures (NAMSOPs).
• Ability to work in high noise environments and under various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems.
• Make repairs to aircraft following orders from higher-grade workers.
• Inspect aircraft and components for damage or defects and document findings.
• Refinish and repair damaged finishes on aircraft surfaces.
• Prepare aircraft for paint removal and apply coatings according to specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in various aircraft systems.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
• Document maintenance work performed and maintain accurate records.
