About The Position

The Aircraft Worker (Armament) position at Eglin AFB involves loading munitions and explosive devices onto aircraft, as well as inspecting, maintaining, installing, modifying, and repairing various aircraft systems related to munitions handling. Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic electricity and principles of mechanics, electronics, and pneudraulics related to munitions systems.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with technical orders, regulations, and safety codes.
  • Understanding of maintenance directives and hazardous waste handling.
  • Proficiency in MIS (CAMS/IMDS) and desktop computer operations.
  • Completion of a basic aircraft armament systems course is mandatory.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in maintaining and repairing munitions systems.

  • Completion of high school with courses in mechanics or basic electronics.
