The Aircraft Washer is responsible for washing aircraft and aircraft components using a high-pressure wash system. This role involves pre and post-wash lubrication of aircraft, installing and removing protective covers, and moving aircraft with towing equipment. The individual will operate various ground support equipment and portable firefighting equipment, as well as assist in general aircraft movement. Key tasks include preparing aircraft for washing by taping vent areas and ensuring protective covers are in place, thoroughly washing and rinsing external and internal surfaces to remove contaminants, and maintaining the high-pressure wash system. The position also requires polishing and cleaning windscreens/canopies using appropriate compounds and cloth, and performing aircraft lubrication according to established procedures. Compliance with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control programs, along with all general and industrial safety rules and regulations, is mandatory. The Aircraft Washer must obtain and maintain required government/company Ground Support Equipment licenses and utilize two-way communication equipment.
