About The Position

Labcorp is seeking an Aircraft Technician for our new state-of- the art hangar located in Burlington, North Carolina. At Labcorp you will be viewed as an essential part of a dynamic and growing Aviation maintenance team responsible for marshaling, tugging, towing, fueling, and servicing our company aircraft fleet. Your role reports to the Director of Aviation Maintenance and will require the ability to work accurately under pressure, often following strict safety regulations and performing tasks on and around complex aircraft that are operating on a time critical schedule. Working conditions: Position Location: Burlington Alamance Regional Airport (KBUY) Residency Requirement: Must reside within an one-hour drive of KBUY. Role Highlights: Join a diverse, inclusive team of aviation professionals. Work in a modern, state-of-the-art hangar facility. Operate and maintain well-equipped aircraft to the highest standards. Occasional travel may be required for maintenance support or training (rare, multi-day assignments). Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs (tools, equipment, baggage, cargo). Uniform required during passenger flight operations. Participate in various company initiatives such as SOP development, safety reporting, and team meetings. Work environment includes exposure to industrial noise, chemicals (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid), machinery, and active aircraft. Monday through Friday Third Shift hours: 8:00p – 5:00am Flexible schedule: overtime may be requested

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions of hot and cold temperatures, rain, sleet and snow.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office and applicable suite of products
  • Effective communication with pilots, mechanics, and other team members to report issues and coordinate services.
  • Attention to detail: Critical for ensuring all aircraft serviced according to precise specifications.
  • Ability to understand technical manuals and maintenance instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of aviation experience
  • Line Service experience
  • Knowledge of LabCorp flight operations and schedule
  • Relevant aviation experience to include any or all the following: aircraft fueling, aircraft towing and aircraft parking, aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct aircraft servicing company owned aircraft.
  • Need to comply with applicable regulations, including but not limited to the FAA, OSHA, and EHS as mandated by the Labcorp Aviation General Operating Manual (GOM).
  • Conduct assigned work in an expeditious manner, exercising sound judgement in executing each work project
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal to intermediate supervision.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors on aircraft servicing issues affecting the flight schedule.
  • Collaborating with Flight Operations to ensure a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Complete all training as required by Labcorp, adhere to and follow all company police, actively participate in and contribute to the Labcorp Aviation Safety Management Program (SMS)
  • Perform various work duties, such as Hangar/facilities/Aircraft cleaning
  • Perform basic and preventative maintenance of GSE equipment and machines.
  • Perform post inspections of aircraft (as authorized by the Director of Maintenance), cleans, services and reports issues to Supervisor.
  • Assist pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians and team members as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Transporting of pilots, parts or supplies may be required using company vehicles.
  • Perform basic duties of aircraft marshaling, aircraft fueling, servicing engine oil, servicing aircraft oxygen system (as authorized by the Director of Maintenance)
  • Perform other duties assigned by your supervisor.
  • You will receive and launch corporate aircraft flights when needed.
  • You will provide support to Ground Operations as needed for both specimen / cargo and Executive Passenger flights
