An Egress Technician is responsible for Inspecting, Repairing, and Troubleshooting Aircraft Egress, Canopy Fracturing Systems and Emergency Oxygen system components to ensure compliance with prescribed maintenance requirements, manufacturer's specifications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Conditional, Scheduled and Unscheduled maintenance on ejection seats, canopy, and emergency oxygen systems. Perform Egress system troubleshooting tasks. Perform required maintenance on (SSK) survival equipment. Must become Ordnance qualified/certified to receive, handle, install and properly dispose of Explosive Ordnance relating to Egress systems. Operate Ground Support Equipment to perform Egress and Gaseous Oxygen maintenance tasks. Enter required Data into Computerized maintenance records i.e., NALCOMIS OOMA, CAD/PAD, and VFS Trace, aircraft forms and, history records. Utilize and interpret information contained in maintenance manuals, diagrams, schematics, blueprints, technical publications, and operational procedures. Order required equipment and supplies. Perform collateral duty inspections and collateral duty quality assurance inspections as required. Maintains cleanliness of work center. Complies with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous waste, Egress Familiarization, and tool control programs. Assist as directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of government / company owned equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned by management . Deals with the customer in courteous, professional, and effective manner. Required to be plane captain certified. Perform pre-flight/post-flight/turnaround/daily inspections and servicing when required. Perform inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections.
