About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Technician A – to join our Flightline team based in Columbus, MS. You will be part of the team to perform basic assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers. Requirements

  • Minimum Four (4) years or more aviation maintenance experience
  • Must be a US Person as defined under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Nice To Haves

  • Current FAA A&P license highly desirable.
  • Flightline and helicopter experience preferred.
  • Safran Turbomeca engine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components
  • Assist in the operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
  • Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
  • Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed, as required.
