About The Position

Will perform time critical Panel removal and installation, Structural repairs on metallic and composite components, TCTO's, Modifications, Ground handling of aircraft and other duties as assigned. Work daily with engineering drawings, technical manuals, structural repair manuals, and engineers as needed to perform assigned tasks. Task include removing and replacing brackets, fittings at FOD critical locations IE: A/C Wire Harness's, engine bays, fuel bays and around avionics equipment. Using hand/pneumatic air tooling to complete task. Will utilize tooling to perform cut outs at panel / stress panels when required. Will obtain/deliver any required/directed On-The-Job training as needed Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area. Physical Demands: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of Fighter Aircraft Experience in structures/sheet metal/composite
  • Must have been previously awarded an Air Force 5 to 9 skill level or equivalent USMC or US Navy CDI/CDQAR qualification or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must acquire an Interim Secret clearance prior to start

Nice To Haves

  • Fabricate detail parts such as shims, splices, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches - Use shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required.
  • Bonding of sheet metal/composite aircraft parts
  • Repairing composite and Sheetmetal IML and OML assemblies.
  • Working Knowledge of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, Supply Chain Management, and Time Accounting
