About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Sheet Metal/Structures Technician specializing in depot-level modifications and new systems integrations for our operations on CH53E/K aircraft located at MCAS Miramar, CA. This role is essential to supporting the upgrade modifications, repairs and inspection of aircraft airframes to ensure optimal aircraft readiness and operational capability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' aviation structure maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in depot-level maintenance procedures and processes.
  • Knowledge of FAA, military, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with aircraft structures and airframes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on the CH53E/K aircraft.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military certification.
  • Prior service in a military or government aviation maintenance environment.
  • Aircraft Sheet metal/Structural Certifications.
  • Past Quality Assurance or QAR Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform depot-level modifications and new structural integrations and existing structures modifications on the airframe.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to address and resolve complex structural issues to include documenting inconsistencies and non-conformances, redline documentations and suggested install corrective actions.
  • Document all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance and safety standards, including adherence to Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 and local SOP and GOPS compliance guidelines.
  • Support aircraft inspections and acceptance procedures and modifications as required.
  • Ensure all tools, test equipment, and consumables are calibrated and maintained per established policies.
