About The Position

Performs aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to assure compliance with technical instructions and related directives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed an Army aircraft maintainers course and have six (6) years verifiable experience in aircraft maintenance with 2 years verifiable experience in rotary or fixed wing aircraft inspection under TAMMS.
  • Verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include TAMMS-A. Maintenance management policies, aircraft weight and balance, non-destructive, shop practices and safety.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities. May be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a graduate of Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and or Advanced Leaders Course
  • A valid A&P license is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing preliminary, hidden damage, in process, and final inspections of work performed within the MRO Operations.
  • Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
  • Complies with all regulatory/statutory, customer and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain Technical Publications and related directives
  • Maintain Technical publications, forms and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
  • Administer and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs.
  • Other duties as assigned
