About The Position

Aircraft Quality Control Inspector This opportunity is contingent upon award: Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies. Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flights. Evaluates Contractor personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience. Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification and determines serviceability. Determines if parts/components are serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non-reparable; affixes completed appropriate form/tag for disposition; returns to stock, and routes to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in. Form/tag shall contain comment relative to evaluation and be stamped by the Inspector. Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and technical library. Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action. Manages the material deficiency and technical order improvement program. Reviews engineering investigation requests. Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports to ensure reports are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive. Receives and reviews aircraft and explosive mishap reports for applicability. Oversees aircraft weight and balance program. Conducts safety inspections, training, and drills. Efficiently prepares and maintains reports. Performs inspections of egress equipment to ensure compliance with egress mechanics and inspects cartridge activated devices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field consistent with the quality assurance requirements contained herein.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems or other technology as applicable to fabrication, repair, and operation and maintenance requirements.
  • When inspecting egress equipment, must provide documented egress equipment work history to the COR.
  • Capable of reviewing others’ work and determining accuracy and conformity to standards
  • Clearance: TS/SCI.
  • Yankee White may be required
