About The Position

The Aircraft QC Inspector (Technical Inspector) (UH-60) inspects the repair and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. Inspects removal and installation of aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Performs scheduled and special inspections. Inspects and performs limited maintenance operational checks and assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required. Inspects forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. Inspects defective parts of the aircraft. Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections, including repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, structural components, and engines. Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions. Participates in maintenance test-flights and operation checks as required. Ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, oil analysis program, and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration. Performs additional duties, including maintenance duties, as requested. Adheres to company policies and safety programs (Safety-first mentality).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired.
  • Valid up-to-date A&P license with IA (preferred).
  • Five years' aviation maintenance experience.
  • Five years rotary wing aircraft experience.
  • Two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
  • Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
  • At least one year's experience inspecting MDS aircraft assigned.
  • One year's experience on components being inspected for back shop TI.
  • Must have satisfactorily completed the 15-series career management field Advanced Leadership Course, AMOC, or possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must provide own tools/toolbox.

  • Experience in inspecting MDS aircraft.
  • Completion of FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P).
