Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) Students - Aircraft Painter (Variable Shift)
About The Position
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking to provide students of Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified courses with the opportunity to join our 787 production teams working as an Aircraft Painter in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift . Your BPET Instructor Endorsement Form will outline the specific roles for which your course qualifies you for a direct offer of employment. Following your application, a Boeing recruiter will reach out to discuss these roles and ensure a smooth transition into your new role. This position is exclusively open to students who have completed Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified courses. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Requirements
- Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course that is certified for the BPET Aircraft Painter role.
- Ability to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks.
- Experience painting aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting.
Responsibilities
- Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
- Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting.
- Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft.
- Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.
