About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Aircraft Painter to join our Component Paint team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift. The Component Painter will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas: Masking, Sanding, Cleaning and Painting on aircraft assemblies on ground level and at heights. Position Responsibilities: Performs inspection of aircraft parts arriving at the component paint facility Cleans aircraft assemblies Masking of aircraft assemblies Sanding of aircraft assemblies Priming and painting aircraft assemblies Have the ability of viewing and understand computer- based work instructions and drawings Maintaining all certifications that are required for the Component Paint shop This position requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment. Candidate must be able to obtain Fall Protection Certification. Fall Protection Regulations - OSHA 1926, 191066, 1910 Subpart This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC) This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work a variable shift
  • Preparation and painting experience
  • Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks (OSHA STD state)
  • Ability to complete Fall protection training

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting
  • 1+ years of aircraft paint experience

  • Summary Pay Range level A: $48,000-$49,000
  • Summary Pay Range level B: $55,680-$64,000
