About The Position

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required. Duties Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components Perform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc. Perform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights. Identify malfunctions and determines corrective action required Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least two years of recent verifiable experience
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems
  • Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources
  • Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within nine (9) months of employee's start date.
  • This position falls under Executive Order 14042, and may require fully vaccinated status.
