About The Position

Will perform Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support/augmentation to include: Production control, Quality Control, Supply Management, maintenance, and repair of aircraft, as well as launch and recovery of aircraft prior to and after the conduct of flight activities. Shall work in specialized shops associated with fixed base operations Field Level maintenance as well as perform troubleshooting and maintenance repairs on the flight line in Hopkins, SC.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 5 years verifiable AH-64 Technical Inspector experience
  • Must have 10 years verifiable AH-64 experience
  • Must be a graduate of Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and or Advanced Leaders Course
  • Must have completed a AH-64 (15R) course graduate or other service equivalence.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • A valid A&P license is desired

Responsibilities

  • Implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Inspects and verifies proper completion of documentation of Safety of Flight discrepancies.
  • Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to perform functional check flights.
  • Performs audits and inspections of work center and maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
  • Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-repairable, unserviceable-non repairable, affixing appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in.
  • Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes, recurring discrepancies, or trends and initiates appropriate action.
  • Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and/or technical library. Manages the technical improvement program and reviews engineering investigative requests.
  • Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Documents and review aircraft weight and balance date to ensure accuracy and provide oversight during actual aircraft weighing procedures.
  • Provides support to Quality Assurance/Environmental, Safety and Health Program by supporting the overarching requirements of the AS9110 Quality and Safety management plan.
  • Other duties as assigned
