About The Position

ENGINES/POWERPLANT AIRCRAFT MECHANICS II SHALL POSSESS A MINIMUM CAPABILITY TO TEST, TROUBLESHOOT, INSTALL, REMOVE, INSPECT, REPAIR, AND ALIGN/RIG THE SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS AND AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Applicable knowledge of aircraft ground handling and common maintenance practices: Required Scheduled/Unscheduled Inspections F402-RR-408 A/B and F402-RR-406B Engines Engine Fuel and Control System Water Injection System Engine Indicating System Throttle and Thrust Nozzle Systems Lubrication System Starting and Ignition System Aircraft Fuel Systems Applicable Support/Special Equipment Applicable Aircraft Publications, Diagrams, Sketches, and Drawings Applicable Precision Measuring Equipment OTHER OR ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
  • Working knowledge of technical publications.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Working knowledge of corrosion control techniques and base, federal and Company procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft sub-systems, including maintenance parameters, systems operation, limitations, and technical orders.
  • Possess a valid US State driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret data is required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to obtain a Government flight line driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Completion of specialized courses or experience in aircraft repair is required.
  • Actual and recent experience in the repair, modification, maintenance and overhaul of aircraft.
