About The Position

Aircraft Mechanic II This opportunity is contingent upon contract award. Award is anticipated 3/31/2026. Description: Performs inspection, diagnoses, repair and monitor systems structure, gear, controls, power and electrical and/or electronic systems and components as assigned. Ability to receive guidance from team leads and/or supervisors, which may be more senior technicians. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines and ancillary equipment required to perform assigned task. Reads and interprets service and manufacturer maintenance manuals, instructions, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of maintaining and repairing malfunctioning systems, and/or ancillary equipment. Follow specific requirements for Ordnance maintenance IAW CNAFINST 4790 and maintenance instructions, as required. Cleans aircraft parts and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned based on skillsets. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts for the assigned position. Two (2) years of NAVAIR/NAWCAD maintenance experience. Demonstrated use of technical publications and guidance. Demonstrated experience with aircraft and equipment logs and records, and specific experience with the aircraft type to be supported. Experience with leading maintenance teams, prioritizing workload and schedules on assigned projects. Knowledge of supply/logistics policies and procedures. Mechanical support positions require a broad knowledge of aircraft structure and/or Hydraulic modifications and repair, must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. Electrical and avionics positions must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, indicators and meters. Clearance: TS/SCI. Yankee White Access may be required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts for the assigned position.
