This Aircraft Mechanic II maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty. The selected candidate must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. Position Skills & Experience required: A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft maintenance within the last six (6) years on assigned airframe. Proficiency in Aircraft Notebook (ACN). Possession of a valid driver's license. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential. Ability to meet the necessary security requirements for access to sensitive systems and facilities. In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair. A foundational understanding of electrical theory. Extensive familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators. Must have working knowledge of technical publications.
