About the position

Candidate serves as the SOATB MH-6 team lead assisting the MH-6 aircraft maintenance supervisor. Assists with the daily scheduling and assigning of tasks in support of operations at home station and TDY locations. Backfills the maintenance supervisor in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor maintenance activities and ensure that the daily flight schedule requirements are met.
  • Receive technical guidance from the aircraft maintenance supervisor and may be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Assist in planning for TDY trip support and providing logistical assistance from home station.
  • Provide technical guidance to team.
  • Work on aircraft as needed.
  • Serve as a TDY road lead as required.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years of rotary wing maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in the MH-6 MDS.
  • Thorough knowledge of MH-6 aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair procedures.
  • General knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
  • General knowledge of electrical and avionics procedures and operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools, special tools, and test equipment.
  • Working knowledge of technical publications and familiarity with ACN and Hydra applications.
  • Must have own tools/toolbox.
  • Ability to complete TDY trips of 1-2 weeks away from home station.
  • Good leadership skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a basic physical to operate equipment and operate on the flight line.
